IT security specialist

To drive our ideas and initiatives we have created the position of IT security specialist. As our IT security specialist you will be responsible for implementing, maintaining and monitoring our Security systems and processes. You will work closely together with the IT team of Aalberts hydronic flow control, the chief information security officer at Aalberts headquarters and security specialists at our sister organisations.

Key activities:

·         Responsible for monitoring the strategic, comprehensive cybersecurity and IT risk management program as defined by the chief information security officer at Aalberts headquarters and monitor effective IT governance and the required level of cyber protection with Aalberts hydronic flow control;

·         Provide cyber security guidance to the IT organisation and support them with selection and implementation of the best practice solutions;

·         Proactively monitor security incidents, vulnerabilities and cyber security awareness training and take decisive action to mitigate issues, risks and vulnerabilities;

·         Promote culture and awareness on the importance of information technology and cybersecurity;

·         Increase understanding, knowledge and level of expertise through webinars, training and exchange of best practices;

·         Support the development of IT roadmaps and monitor execution to drive modernisation of the IT infrastructure and applications; drive the cybersecurity roadmap, monitoring progress on defined KPIs, actions and share best practices;

·         Challenge IT control framework, control activities and KPIs around IT technology and security; further drive implementation of measures and increase focus and strengthening of existing procedures including General IT Controls;

·         Keeping our data and electronic records protected by information rights management and identity and access management.

The ideal candidate has a relevant polytechnic (HBO) degree or comparable experience, and either experience as a security specialist (minimum 3 years) or experience in IT infrastructure (5-7 years) with a strong affinity for security. You enjoy working within a small team to take security with Aalberts hydronic flow control to the next level. This is a challenging role with a diverse range of responsibilities within a dynamic organization that offers you the opportunity to further develop the security role.

This role requires an individual with a strong technical background, as well as an ability to work with the IT organization and the ability to clearly communicate with senior management to align priorities and plans with key business objectives.

Proficiency  in German and French would be beneficial;
An understanding in Cloud Security, Network Security, Application Security, Identity & Access Management, SOC/SIEM, Vulnerability Management;
Familiar with known international and national security frameworks such as CIS, ISO27001 and IEC 62443;
You have relevant certifications or the ambition to pursue them. (i.e. CISSP, CISM, CCNP Security, NSE7 of PCNSE);
